From honey oak to warm white

The challenge
A 1990s U-shaped kitchen with a low soffit, fluorescent box light, and cabinets that didn't reach the ceiling.
The design solution
Kept the plumbing wall, removed the soffit, and specified 42" uppers with stacked crown. Added a white oak island with seating for three and deep drawers on the range wall.
